How big is the food waste?

Umeå municipality's goal is that no more than 20 grams of each portion served should be food waste. Note! This does not include the food waste that is thrown away in departments at preschools and care and nursing homes.
The National Food Administration's national survey (of food waste in the public sector) shows that of every portion served lunch in preschool and school, 60–70 grams becomes food waste (excluding drinks).
