Umeå municipality has many fine public beaches, both by the sea, by lakes and by the river.Explore the swimming area near where you live or make a trip to another nearby swimming area to explore the variety, possibilities and maybe even finding a new favorite place? The swimming possiblities in the municipality are many, varied and suitable for various needs.

In this data set you will find information about some of the bigger public beaches. On some of them there are also entrepreneurs who sell food and snacks

This data set is not updated regularly. There may be errors in e.g. positions and it may even be that beaches have been added/removed between updates.

The given geographical positions are to be seen as rough estimates and not as exact.
