Radon gas occurs naturally in soil and rocks. Therefore, ground air almost always contains radon. Since air pressure is usually lower indoors than outdoors, radon can be drawn into houses from the ground. If large amounts of ground air leak into the house, there is always a risk of high indoor radon levels.

Streets and Parks manage approximately 30,000 trees located along streets, in squares, and parks. The trees are registered in a database where information about them is updated daily. Throughout the year, staff work on planting, watering, pruning, and conducting safety inspections of the trees.
